History

Since 2008 a passion for information management initiated the foundations of ABACUS CMT, LLC. Two significant events started the beginnings of our company, on the one hand, the need for a management software for our sister company J. F. Cardona Roig Architects, PSC (JFCR Architects); on the other the preparation of a population census for Cristo Redentor parish in Río Piedras. Both of these projects required significant data processing and management with a simple, electronic solution. During the period between 2008 and 2014 several applications were developed for a diverse group of users, to name a few, Doral Bank, Casa Primavera, JFCR Architects, and VAPR Federal Credit Union.

 

In May 2014, operating as a sub-division of JFCR Architects, ABACUS started offering Facility Management services to VAPR Federal Credit Union. In the beginning, the services were limited to the management of the corporate headquarters San Juan and now we manage the credit union’s real estate portfolio. In February 2019 the company was officially registered as a Limited Liability Corporation. 

 

Our core business objective is to develop custom management solutions to handle our customers’ needs. This simple and straightforward goal results in the maximization of the operation of our customers through systematic process analysis resulting in increased revenues and operating costs reductions. To achieve this, we encourage partnering with the customer’s resources, both internal and external, to maximize the team’s performance. Our slogan "Building Value thru Better Management" expresses our understanding and commitment to excellence in our services. Our objective is simple, take care of your built infrastructure to let you concentrate in your principal line of business.

 

We value constant improvement and submit our solutions to regular periodic evaluations in order to maintain the highest possible results. As application developers we modify and adjust our deployments to work with the customers' requirements. Personal service and individual customization distinguish us. We believe in software integration and are constantly on the lookout for low cost emerging technologies to improve our customers experience.
 

Since 2014 we have been members of the International Facility Management Association (IFMA). Our team understands and operates within IFMA’s Core Competencies. These competencies are essential to successful facility management but are also relevant to other fields such as project management, warehouse management among others.

 

For us, metrics are critical. As part of our services we always design and include mechanisms and tools to measure performance and efficiency. These are in constant monitoring to insure the best possible outcome.
